"Anne, my happiness frightens me," whispered Leslie. "It seems too great to be real--I'm afraid to speak of it--to think of it. It seems to me that it must just be another dream of this house of dreams and it will vanish when I leave here."
The Pathless has been a known entity for quite some time now and has seen several delays since it was first unveiled as an Apple Arcade title. Back in August, it was announced the game would be arriving in Holiday 2020 but now we know more specifically that it will launch on November 12th for Apple Arcade, PS5, PS4 and PC.

The Pathless is an adventure game from developer Giant Squid, who you may remember as the folks behind ABZU. Instead of diving deep into the ocean, however, The Pathless sees players taking on the role of The Hunter and exploring a vast forest.

Line Games is releasing a multiplayer action game called Smash Legends for iOS and Android devices later this year, as well as on PC as an early access title.

Smash Legends will soft-launch on mobile, meaning its availability will be rolled out over time as a beta before receiving a proper full release later on, and will feature cross-play support between iOS, Android and PC.

In it, you engage in action packed 3-minute battles where you knock your opponents out of an arena ring. Characterised by its intuitive controls that translate well between PC and mobile, even players not familiar with the arena battle genre will be able to adjust to it.

You will be able to choose between several different game modes to select from, including a one-on-one duel, 3 vs 3 capture point and an eight player battle royale, so there’s a bit of variety you will have the option of playing in should you lean towards a preferred way of playing.

Smash Legends had a Community Group Test way back in May 2020 and it looks like the upcoming soft-launch will iterate on the feedback from that with improved gameplay and modes.

We don’t have further details on what the soft launch will entail; whether it will be a free to play title, what countries it will be available in or if it will be a closed test or open for all. As always, we’ll be sure to update you as soon as more information heads our way.

Smash Legends soft-launches in Q1 2021 for the iOS App Store, Google Play for Android, and Steam Early Access with cross-play support.
Are you interested in multiplayer games? Two of these new planes are only available if you are a VIP, which costs a hefty £9.49 a month, so I don't blame you if you're giving that a miss.

On top of that, you'll also have a new purple missile to use in combat. This new missile is incredibly powerful and packs a big punch too. If you've played the game before you'll know it from enemy helicopters who occasionally launch them in your direction.

Andrew Plotkin has released Hadean Lands on iOS. It's a command-based interactive fiction, a puzzle-adventure, and an "alchemical interplanetary thriller," according to Plotkin.

"This is the most complex puzzle structure I've ever designed. It's the culmination of four years of work," he writes in the game's description.

And yep, it's been in production for four years after fetching nearly four times the funding Plotkin was asking for on Kickstarter to make it back in 2010.

It starts off with you in a perilous situation. You're an apprentice alchemist marooned on an alien planet.

Your only way out of there is to single-handedly repair a starship, and then pilot it.

To do that, you'll need lots of preparation. You'll also need to explore the planet to see what ingredients are out there. As an alchemist, you need to put your skills into practice, you see.

"You'll have to calcine, distill, dissolve, and precipitate. And somehow, somewhere, you'll have to figure out what happened and why," Plotkin teases.

If you're intrigued, and fancy a bite of something different on iOS, then you can purchase Hadean Lands for £2.99 / $4.99 on the App Store right now.
